Close your eyes. Picture your hand opening, then closing again. You have just activated
the same brain regions as if you had actually done it.
PhysioGMI guides phases 2 and 3 of the Graded Motor Imagery programme: explicit motor
imagery, then mirror therapy. A session takes a few minutes. Everything runs offline,
with no account and no ads.
▸ PHASE 2 — PHYSIOVISUALISE
75 movements across five body regions: hand, arm, shoulder, leg, foot. One instruction
in large type, an animation showing exactly the gesture, and a discreet countdown that
does not rush you. You imagine the movement, then rate how vivid the image was.
▸ PHASE 3 — PHYSIOMIRROR
Three levels, nine exercises. The sound limb moves and the mirror does the rest. The app
animates the correct side at the correct pace — level 2 genuinely keeps time at 60 beats
per minute, metronome included. You then rate how strong the illusion felt.
▸ BEFORE AND AFTER, EVERY SESSION
A 0-to-10 pain scale, smooth and free of jargon, at the start and at the end. Both values
are stored and plotted: session after session, you see what changes and what does not.
Nothing is rounded off or flattered.
▸ THE FULL HISTORY
Every session kept: date, phase, region worked, pain before, pain after, vividness or
illusion strength, duration. A chart overlays the two curves. No retention limit, and one
button to erase everything.
▸ BUILT FOR REAL USE
• Works anywhere, with no network. No permissions. No data collected.
• The session pauses when you leave the app.
• Sound and haptics adjustable.
• French and English.
• Portrait and landscape.
▸ A PAGE THAT EXPLAINS
Graded motor imagery has been described since the work of G. L. Moseley. The app explains
the protocol, the order of the phases and the reason for that order — without promising a
result. These are exercises, not a treatment.
Phase 1, left/right discrimination, lives in PhysioDex. The three apps link to each
other: from one, a tap opens the next.
Built by a physiotherapist, for people working on chronic pain alongside a healthcare
professional. This app does not replace a diagnosis, medical advice, or follow-up care.
Guided motor imagery and mirror therapy, at your own pace. Fully offline.
