About this app

Turn your Wear OS watch into a deliberate gesture shortcut controller.

FlickDeck lets you arm a short gesture session, move your wrist intentionally, and trigger a webhook or Home Assistant webhook configured on your phone. Use it for smart home scenes, desk setup shortcuts, homelab workflows, presentation controls, and other user-configured automations.

Deliberate gesture shortcuts

Map supported wrist gestures to your actions:

• Double twist
• Flick up
• Flick down

Gesture detection only runs during a user-armed session. FlickDeck does not silently listen all day in the background.

Built for automation

Create profiles and actions in the Android phone companion, then sync them to your Wear OS watch.

FlickDeck supports:

• Generic webhook actions
• Home Assistant webhook shortcuts
• Profiles for home, desk, presentation, gym, bedtime, and custom workflows
• Gesture-to-action mappings
• Configurable cooldowns
• Confirmation for risky actions
• Haptic feedback for success, failure, rejection, and session status

Watch-native controls

Access FlickDeck quickly from your watch:

• Wear OS Tile to arm or disarm gesture mode
• Complication that displays status and opens the app
• Ongoing status while a gesture session is active
• Gesture test mode with confidence and rejection feedback

The Tile and complication do not execute actions directly.

Local-first setup

FlickDeck does not require an account and does not use a developer-operated cloud backend.

Your profiles and action settings are stored on your devices. Webhook requests are sent only to endpoints you configure when you trigger an action.

FlickDeck includes:

• No account
• No ads
• No analytics
• No developer cloud sync
• Redacted logs and exports by default

Public webhook URLs must use HTTPS. Plain HTTP is limited to validated local-network targets, such as a Home Assistant instance on a trusted network.

FlickDeck requires a compatible Android phone and Wear OS watch for setup and use.

FlickDeck is a shortcut utility, not an emergency, medical, accessibility, or security system. Gesture recognition is not guaranteed and should not be used for safety-critical actions.

FlickDeck is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Wear OS, Home Assistant, Open Home Foundation, n8n, Tasker, Samsung, or any other third-party service.
