I love it but one thing I'd like to see added is the ability to cancel out of commands, especially "getting schedule". My wifi for my controller is weak and my phone internet can be spotty so between the two I'm stuck on "getting schedule" a lot and my phone is basically frozen until it finally times out or gets schedule. I could be dying and need to call an ambulance and I'd be waiting for schedule to time out before I could call.
It does what they say, however the ability to use an api or url isnlimiting for my home automation. All my home automation is voice controlled and i would love to say rain bird start watering or skip a day. Hopefully once they update I wont have to buy another module. Please add a url to open app from url then I can incorperate it in my actiontiles. Simple app update "add intents for url to open app atleast" Its been a while, has there been any strives on releasing an api, or intergration with smartthings for home automation? Since the lack of support or home automation efforts, I will have to ove to Rachio sprinkler controller. I really wanted to use the rainbird, but with no home automation support or updates pther than languages is telling me this is not on the road map.
Just installed it and it works fine, loading schedule pop up window is annoying. It would be nice to have option to manually water more or all zones instead of one, also log of reports. Pictures are not edited so they look bad.
For now it doesn't work on my Samsung Android. I get a Network error message. It does well on iphone but bad luck I have an Android. Help !!!! Update: I contacted the developer but finally told me to contact SAMSUNG which is hopeless.
The only really annoying thing I've found (just a couple days using it) is the "loading schedule..." message. I mean, if there are no changes, there's no need to reload the schedule. Just a simple "lastUpdate" date field would be enough. Or add a setting to allow the user just to manually reload the schedule. Really important thing needed: unit convertion. Rain Bird devices are sold worldwide so the app should be universal too. Mine is in Spanish (correct) but I can't a find a setting for showing weather info in celsius. Would be a more than needed addition. A nice touch would be to allow cropping pictures and increase resolution, they look really awful. Cheers!
Android does not allow you to select any app to open an unknown file type. Therefore the control file cannot be used to install on a second Android device.
