App wants to connect to my wifi. I'm not able to upload videos or pictures via the wifi option on my Android phone. App want to connect phones already on my phone, not to the Vivitar camcorder.

its an ok app for a camera that barely works. would love if it would be able to transfer images directly to my phone

The app definitely makes it easier not to touch the camera buttons, but the camera's video quality could be better. Every time i press a button without the app, you can hear it. Every time i move the camera, it gets very loud. The video seems to be a bit delayed as well, and the sound is quite muffled. It seems as if the audio system is internal, making it sensitive to ANY sound nearby. This camera is cheap and convenient, but surely the bang for your buck :/ just invest in a better camera.
