I decided to learn Japanese this year and have been using a book as a guide. I wanted more exercises, more explanations, and ways to learn so I turned to the almighty Reddit and was recommended this app. No regrets! I like the different exercises and being able to set my own pace. It's also great to have everything on the go! Excellent app, lots of learning tools! The free version is great, but I opted for the upgrade to pro to get even more out of my learning experience.

decided to try and relearn the Japanese alphabets after many years. this app is so good!! it's great at giving many ways to learn and practice and everything feels paced to your natural pace. only downside is that there's so much info it can be hard to navigate sometimes, but if you go a little bit at a time it makes things easier. the community aspect is really sweet, and i love how cute everything is!

Free AND ad free AND it's actual learning and not a glorified vocabulary game? There doesn't seem to be a catch, there is a Pro level which is where they make their money, but just like Duolingo you get by fine without it but you might like to have it. coming from Duolingo I'm happy with the ad free design, and the UI seems fine to me, despite probably being a little old school, I'm old school too after all!
