love but cant open any files (at least in /data/data/) with android 6.0... positive im rooted. i can adb shell su and vi the files. app gives... "root explorer was unable to read this file. please check that your device is rooted correctly and that access has been granted at the superuser prompt"
Still awesome Still a rock solid for explorer after all these years...but how about a UI refresh? Even a mild Material Design refresh would be a welcome update.
Solid file explorer Root Explorer has been my file explorer of choice for years, and it still works very well for everything I need to do. I feel it needs a redesign, however.
Android 6.0 Root Explorer will not let me edit my build.prop in Android 6.0. I just get a message that says it isn't able to access the file and that I may not have root access. However, I did get the root prompt when I first opened Root Explorer and I am able to mount system and install/delete system apps so root seems to be working fine.
The first and still the best This is the best tool for the job. What is somewhat irritating is that when selecting files in multi-selest, often instead of selecting file, touching causes the "long directory scroll" to activate and send me far away from where I was trying to select a file. As to the looks, material design while eye pleasing does not allow for the density of information that the current one does. What I would love is for a command line to be available at the bottom like in Norton Commander to execute shell commands...
Pretty good, needs UI update Lollipop UI update would be good, the current UI hasn't changed much for awhile & is starting to feel a little slow & clunky, especially compared to apps like FX File Explorer. The only file manager, AFAIK, that has "SELinux Context" support, thanks for this.
