The latest change to the system of 3 stars for every 1 euro is very faulty. Sometimes you do purchases and the stars do not appear. Also, when the stars were imported, a lot of information was lost. If you already did your share to be a gold, now you have to do it again. If you make this changes, make them fine from the first try. Adding things on the production stage is not the the thing to do. Test the app before launching a new version!

Adding alternative payment methods would improve this app tenfold, as for me it is as much of a hassle to top up my credit card, wait 3 days, and top up the SB card as it is to go to the store and do it right there. It's also ridiculous that I can now only top up 25, 50, or 75€ - was there a reason for that change? Also, I see my credit card (the same number) about 5 times in the drop down menu for some reason. The app is good for keeping track of the rewards and not much else.

Since the migration from stars to points, the app has been a complete disaster. First the card disappeared, then it was added back but with €0 balance, now the money is back, but all points and rewards are 0 and I have to start again. Starbucks DE is way behind the rewards and services offered by Starbucks USA/UK/CA. You can't order through the app, and you can't view the menu, and drinks are smaller and overpriced unlike the other countries. This is the nail in the coffin so, nie wieder.
