I've been using Norton antivirus products for many years, and am satisfied with the level of protection they offer. Still, it's a bit of a challenge understanding how the subscriptions work. I've got one account with Norton, with an annual subscription which covers both of our household's laptop computers, but I've had to purchase one additional annual subscription for each of our family's smartphones. At around thirty dollars per year (for each device), the price seems a bit excessive to me.
I have Norton on another device and love it. It makes recommendations on apps I download which makes me feel relaxed and secure. Regular scans also reinforce that feeling of security. Downside? Sometimes I really want to download something and am warned off. It's the 'teenage' reaction. I hate being told what I should and should not do. That's where the adult me wags the finger and I follow the advice. Other than that - brilliant!
Symantec/Norton produces the most reliable security protection for my systems for many years. I'm missing built-in firewall (something like NoRoot Firewall) to resolve automaticaly warnings about apps with high background data usage. Moreover, WiFi Security labels my WiFi Repeater as a man-in-the-middle in the connection to my Router.
Seems to work well, so far so good, fairly unobtrusive which is nice Keep up the good work. Multi-licences very good idea, saves me feeling like I'm being ripped off! After all you can only use one at a time. Shame car insurance and road tax does not work like that too!
Please stop telling me: You have not run backup for X days. First, what backup? Everything? Contacts? More importantly, I don't want to use this feature because Google takes care of all of it. My choice. I see no way to decline this feature or turn off this reminder.
These guys are getting really dirty with thier advertising and pricing. When you sign up for thier products they try to trick you into a subscription instead of a one time purchase. Even after you buy thier product you are subjected to pop up advertising. I used to really like Norton but I am getting to where I dont.like to do business with them anymore.
