Ratings and reviews

Used to be a great app, but recent changes have made it much less user friendly - the "ongoing notifications" touted as a feature are TERRIBLE. Who ever thought that was a good idea? And, in the tile that appears before an upcoming flight, there used to be a Trip Details icon that has been replaced with Terminal Guide. Terminal Guide is glitch, takes forever to load, and you have to click on it and wait for it to load before clicking the Trip Details tab, or the app crashes.

Honestly, I'm astonished. I've never been a fan of UA for the past 20 years I've flown with them, but this app is phenomenal. It's modern, efficient, comprehensive and very, very helpful. It's detailed and capable. Being able to very easily pre scan your boarding pass and using the app's destination country travel checklist, it can automatically look up your compliance so you know that all of your documents are in order. I can't squeeze in just how much this app can do in under 500 charact

Every action has a 5-10 second "please wait, loading" message. The passport scanner is obtuse. I spent over 10 minutes scanning two passports. Both were perfectly in focus and frame, but it only scanned them when they were blurry and there edges cut off. So basically you have to get them perfect and then just shake your phone hoping it'll magically work

• Updates to ongoing notifications including a connection state that displays walk times between gates
• The ability to add your booking easily to the mobile app by scanning your paper boarding pass
