How processed is your food, really? Scan a barcode and UPF Reset tells you whether a product is ultra-processed — and shows you exactly which ingredients make it so, in plain English.
Then log what you actually eat, and watch the share of real food in your week grow.
WHY UPF RESET
• Every result explains itself. No mystery scores: see the specific emulsifiers, sweeteners, flavorings and additive codes behind the rating, quoted from the ingredient list.
• Scanning isn't eating. Look up as many products as you like. Only the foods you choose to log count towards your score.
• A score you can raise. See the share of what you eat that isn't ultra-processed, day by day and week by week.
• A 30-day reset. Aim for at least 80% non-ultra-processed food on the days you log. Missed days don't wipe out your progress.
• Simpler swaps. When a product is heavily processed, get ideas for less-processed alternatives to look for.
• Whole foods count too. Log fruit, eggs, vegetables — anything without a barcode — in one tap, so your score reflects your diet, not just your packets.
• How do you feel? An optional daily check-in for energy, sleep and digestion, shown back to you plainly and never turned into health claims.
MADE FOR THE SUPERMARKET AISLE
• Scan one product after another without leaving the scanner.
• Camera can't read a barcode? Type it in instead.
• Spotted a wrong result? Report it from the product screen.
• No ads.
HONEST BY DESIGN
UPF Reset uses the NOVA classification, a framework from nutrition research that groups foods by how processed they are. Processing is not the same as calories, nutritional value or allergy safety, and UPF Reset doesn't pretend otherwise.
Product information comes from Open Food Facts, an open database built by volunteers. If a product isn't in the database, or its ingredient list is missing, the app tells you so instead of guessing.
UPF Reset is not medical or dietary advice. Always check the packaging for allergens.
HOW THE SCORE WORKS
Each logged item counts once. NOVA groups 1–3 count as not ultra-processed and group 4 counts as ultra-processed. Products that can't be classified are left out. A challenge day counts when you log at least two classified items and at least 80% of them aren't ultra-processed.
FREE AND PREMIUM
Free includes five barcode lookups a day. Premium removes the daily limit for normal personal use. Logging, history, the 30-day challenge and check-ins are always free.
