About this app

Meet the new Vanguard app. We’ve updated and refined our features to make it easier than ever to invest from your mobile device. Along with our sleek new look, you can also log in to your accounts with Fingerprint ID. We’ll be rolling out new updates every few weeks, but if there’s something you want us to build, you can let us know in our Support tab.

Use the app to do the following (some features may not be available for employer-sponsored plans):

• Access an overview of your accounts to check your total assets and balances.

• Dive deeper to track your account performance, cost basis details, or day change information for each of your holdings.

• Make trades, deposit checks directly into your accounts, and review your transaction history.

• Find help, update your login preferences, and leave feedback via our Support tab.

logging into the app forces you over to a web page, then you'll be sent back to the app. If you ever withdraw while under 59, it asks you THREE different times to withhold 10% for fed tax, but guess what? you can't change that in the app, you'll have to go back the web page again. you can change state taxes through the app though, so it really seems like it's just trying to be annoying.

they didn't test this app at all before they released it. when you're trying to select the date of birth for the beneficiary, it makes you go back by tapping on an arrow one month at a time. if your beneficiary is over 1-year-old, this will take you forever. since most beneficiaries are probably middle-aged or older, clearly they did not even test it. further, the app doesn't work at all if you change the font size in Android. The 2 major complaints I have is that, for whatever reason, 1.)I can't login using biometrics. 2.)when viewing recent transactions, there is no indication in some cases what the dividend(s) was for, and if there's a "sweepout"/transfer where did it transfer TO; also, if there's lt or st capital gains, what fund, for example, is it applicable to. Otherwise, the app is useful.
