This is the official app for Vancouver’s Best Car Share! Evo is car sharing made for you. It gets you from here to there with room for your friends - gas, insurance, parking and unlimited kms included. Plus, we’ve added e-bikes! The Evo app is your key to everything. Just reserve, unlock and hit the road. Yep, its that easy.


The app lets you:
• Sign up for car and e-bike sharing (you will need your driver’s license and a credit card to join)
• Find a vehicle 24/7 by checking out the real-time map
• Make or cancel reservations (you can reserve a car up to 30 min in advance or 5 min in advance for e-bikes, all for free) or use Evo Return to make round-trip bookings up to 30 days in advance
• Start, pause, and end trips with the click of a button, or use our handy QR code to start your e-bike trip
• See how much time is left before your reservation expires with the countdown timer
• View all available vehicles on the map or view them in a list
• View vehicle info including location, fuel/charge level, license plate, and distance from you
• Check out parking locations and the Home Zone
• See billing and manage all things to do with your Evo account
• Give us a shout 24/7 for help. Day or night we are here for you!
• Easily refer your friends and earn driving credit
• Stay up to date with in-app and push notifications

Ratings and reviews

Good customer service, but the app almost never works. Most of the time it can't find cars and just shows a blank map, the other times it will reserve a car without letting you unlock it. Update: Using features like setting an alert for nearby cars crashes app. Update 2: Evo is still the one app that consistently sucks. Using this app is making me want to buy a car. It always crashes or lags and takes forever to work.

The app does not immediately update the cars displayed so you end up trying to book a car when it's already booked. You also cannot set up a radar to ping yourself when a car is available. Quite frankly one of the worst apps I've ever used.... I actually have to repeatedly open and close the app most times to ensure that I get the correct list of cars. The worst part is, the app always seem to log me out for no apparent reason. I lose a car because I get kicked out

Buggy UI. Apps crashes randomly. Sometimes can't even locate the car currently being rented out, telling me to turn on Bluetooth and Location services, even though they always stay on. Been locked out of my car multiple times and had to call their service centre several times to unlock the car, reconnect to the car, etc. from their end. Friendly and helpful service people; the only redeeming quality of EVO.

What’s new

This version of the app includes an icon-ic upgrade. We’ve rolled out a sleeker app icon and given our Evo Extras points program a bit of a glow-up. Feeling cute—might update again later. Got an expired card? We’ll now let you know what’s up before you try to book, and have EV-en better notifications for our electric vehicles. Plus, we swatted a few behind-the-scenes bugs.
