Westjet connect doesn't Had my first opportunity to use WestJet connect on a flight. What a frustrating experience. The app started just fine but every attempt to view content was a failure. The app would constantly jump out of watched content and back to the home screen, requiring starting from scratch over and over again.
Terrible This app is terrible to use for the in-flight entertainment. The shows kept pausing, jumping ahead or jumping back to the start. Every time an in-flight announcement came on it would minimise the window and then would take a while before it would play again. Unfortunately we're at the mercy of this app if we want any in flight entertainment but I wish they'd just bring the screens back!
The last two revisions were a step backwards. In previous versions all of my flights booked online at your website showed up in my future flights list. Recently, I booked 10 flights online and not a one has made its way into this app. I shouldn't have to use the + sign to enter each leg manually. The strange part is that all of these flights show up in my tripcase calendar. Maybe you should download the flights from their database.
Didn't play films at all Every time I tried to play a film it said it had stopped. I wonder if it's because my Asus Android tablet ZenPad S is Intel rather than arm? Really annoyed as I didn't have the app on my phone as a backup.
It didn't work properly. At the beginning of the flight, I had some difficulty staying connected to the Westjet hotspot. It wouldn't stay connected for long enough to even open the programme. After about 15 minutes of attempting to reconnect, I finally did get a lasting connection to the network. As expected, movies and TV are paused when the flight crew made an announcement. The problem was, when the announcement was over, the movie would remain frozen, and would have to be restarted. Later, the movie wouldn't restart at all.
Took forever to load, videos would not play/were choppy when they actually finally did. This is terrible. West jet, you charge good money for bad ideas. Get your affairs together with this "app" garbage and your terrible connection speeds or get the screens back. I will be flying with another airline until you get your stuff. together. Did anyone even test this garbage with a full plane of users before trying it or were you hoping full price paying customers would do your job for you. You have lost my business.
