I've been a user of WhatsApp since its launch. It's one of my most used apps and totally essential for communication with family and friends. It has been very stable and easy to use since the beginning. I've found very few issues with the app. But recently I noticed that the app's Automatic Translation feature is quite broken - messages don't get translated automatically, and the app keeps prompting me to select the language though it's already downloaded and selected.

notifications are now showing up as "WhatsApp: Jane Doe: message" it's a bit frustrating and unnecessary. On a positive note, I do appreciate the transcribe feature that was added on for voice messages. I'm not usually able to hear them quickly, so being able to read them helps. It does need a bit of work here and there.

this app was by far my favorite app especially when video calling. lately I've been having lots of issues with being heard by the other person on the call including in regular voice calls. I've tried everything, I even un installed it and lost a bunch of messages because I forgot to back everything up but in the end it didn't solve my issue. so very disappointed, I don't know how to make it work. I've tried to troubleshoot and even Ai wasn't able to help me.

What’s new
• You can now choose to share recent group history with new members when you add them to a group • Group calls now include the ability to transfer calls between mobile and desktop, add a waiting room for call links, and pin a participant to a bigger tile.
These features will roll out over the coming weeks. Thanks for using WhatsApp!
