The My BMW App is optimised for vehicles built from 2014 onwards. The availability of individual app functions depends on your vehicle equipment and your BMW ConnectedDrive contract. The availability of app functions may vary between countries.

Ratings and reviews

After updating the OS in the car, Trip information no longer appears in the app. On both Android and iOS. Update: The issue has been fixed. Thank you! A suggestion: For the Remote Software Updates it would be nice to be able to transfer the data to the car using the USB cable too, as an alternative to the Bluetooth/Wifi, to speed up the process, as it currently takes tens of minutes to transfer 500 MB for v. 2022/60 and it took several hours for the 1000+ MB update before - v. 2022/58.

It could be much better, if only the Map setting for "Show Traffic" would stay as user selects instead of always reverting to Off. Annoying 😡 Even more annoying is the total disregard shown by BMW, even through numerous updates they ignore the feedback/complaint! Yet worse still, the developer contact email is useless, & BMW don't care. Edit: latest u/d is slow to start, buggy & hangs at login. Colour scheme constantly defaults.😡 B.ad app M.ade W.orse.

App always looses credentials. I have to log in every time, clearing all the settings I've made in the attempt before. That includes software updates. I've now downloaded the software update for my car multiple times. They are aware the current version is broken, but instead of putting a previous version back, they just leave you hanging. It has been more than 2 months that I have this issue now. The app also doesn't really only have 1 language. The app shows 3 different languages for me...
