About this app
Vesper is a Kanban board for applications, projects, and contacts: nine stages from the initial idea to a response, encrypted on the device, without an account. A language model running on your own computer can also be integrated.
MODEL BRIDGE (OPTIONAL)
• Control Ollama or LM Studio on your own computer for cover letters, follow-ups, and interview preparation.
• If neither is running, the app remains fully functional. Only the free-form suggestions are missing.
• Each suggestion is marked as a suggestion, not as a finished text: A small model might even invent a year of work experience or a project.
NINE STAGES
• Found, Prepared, Sent, Receipt Confirmed, Interview, Offer, Acceptance, Rejection, Withdrawn.
• Vesper calculates a real-world analysis based on the process: how many applications cost per interview, how long each stage takes on average.
• Vesper openly states that if there are fewer than 20 applications, a rate based on just a few cases is not conclusive.
• The job ad extractor breaks down an inserted job posting into company, position, salary range, and requirements, using pure text processing without a language model.
THE BOARD
• Columns for projects, applications, and contacts, ready to use immediately.
• Drag cards freely between columns, even with hundreds of cards, without any lag.
• Follow-up reminders for each application, at a set time.
• Text snippets without a language model for following up, responding to rejections, and confirming appointments.
• Contacts related to each application.
ON THE DEVICE
• The database is stored encrypted on the device (SQLCipher, AES-256).
• No account, no registration, no cloud.
• Vesper displays no advertising and does not collect any analytics data.
• Everything can be exported as CSV and Markdown at any time.
• The app works completely offline. It only establishes a connection to a language model you have registered yourself, and to no one else.
