myDVG Bus & Train
The myDVG Bus & Train app offers you not only timetable information and ticket purchase but also other helpful features. This makes traveling by bus and train in Duisburg and North Rhine-Westphalia even easier.
Easy menu navigation via the home screen
The app is easy to use: Directly from the home screen, you can access the following with just one click:
- Connection search
- Departure monitor
- Ticket shop
- eezy check-in button
- Information center
- Map
- Profile
Buying tickets
You can purchase all regular VRR tickets via the myDVG app and save tickets as favorites.
Please note: If the start date of validity cannot be set before purchasing a ticket (month/date/time), the ticket is valid immediately after purchase and cannot be edited. The ticket must be shown on your smartphone before boarding.
You can view your purchased tickets under the menu item "My Tickets".
Contactless payment
Simply select one of these payment options during registration and pay contactlessly: credit card, PayPal, or direct debit.
Keep track of multi-trip tickets
The myDVG Bus&Bahn app clearly shows you how many trips you can still make with your 4-trip or 10-trip ticket.
Ticket check
If you add your Ticket1000, Ticket2000, or 24-hour ticket to the myDVG Bus&Bahn app, it will check whether you need an additional ticket for that trip when searching for a connection.
eezy fare – VRR & NRW
Check in. Start your journey. Check out and only pay for the distance traveled as the crow flies – eezy! With eezy, you only pay for the distance you actually travel as the crow flies. No more fare zones or fare boundaries throughout North Rhine-Westphalia!

Getting from A to B with the timetable information
The myDVG Bus&Bahn app finds the fastest bus and train connections for you throughout Germany. With location services (GPS) enabled, the app automatically uses your current location as the starting and ending point. You can also enter stops, addresses, or points of interest manually or via the map.
The integrated map function also helps you find your way around, including for walking routes.
Bike routing and bike sharing
Want to combine cycling and public transport? Simply select your journey and tap the bike icon. You'll then see the route by bike to the stop or from the last stop to your destination.
And to securely park your bike at the station, the app shows you available spaces in the DeinRadschloss bike-sharing facilities at many stops throughout the VRR area.
Not using your own bike? The app tells you where rental bikes are available.
Personalized Settings
In the myDVG Bus&Bahn app, you can set the timetable, departure monitor, or tickets as your home screen and change it at any time. There are also numerous personalization options regarding accessibility, speed, and mode of transport. In the main menu, you can define your most frequent destinations, name them (e.g., work, home…), and assign them custom icons and colors.
Regular Routes? Personalized Connections!
Customize the myDVG Bus&Bahn app to suit your individual needs: Save important connections or daily routes as favorites and subscribe to information about specific lines and connections to stay informed about delays. If you don't want to or can't use all modes of transport, configure the app to fit your preferences. The journey reminder also lets you know when it's time to head to the bus stop.
