About this app

MitID is your digital ID. You use it when you want to log in, sign digitally and approve actions in various self-service solutions. If you need to approve on your mobile or tablet, you do it with a single swipe in the app. To authenticate on your computer, scan a QR code.

Activate your MitID
You can activate your MitID in your app by scanning your passport/ID card or with an activation code from Borgerservice. If you have a new mobile, you can copy your MitID from your old app.

In the app you can also...
Check your user ID and change the mobile number you use for MitID.

Have a spare MitID
Having an extra MitID is a good idea. If you happen to lose your mobile with the app on it, you can still use MitID.

Witnessed occasional days where scanner was not working and recently in tech school have been a huge problem and has forced me to be behind in certain tasks. I am deeply disappointed in the lack of resolution for these types of issues -- having to wait 24 hours to switch to one-time codes is satanic. Handler is slow even on a fast phone, not sure if this is because of networked auth code, but I am not reversing the app to verify...

app works when verifying on pc, however it has stopped working completely on my phones for verification purposes ever since i switched to firefox browser as my default and i dont use anything else, i cannot log into anything with MitID on my phone. seeing as this is a mandatory app to have it should be required to work on with every single browser, i could easily see this stop working on pc when i eventually switch to firefox or librewolf(fork of firefox) unacceptable.

apps works normally overall but it is pain in the butt to activate it. My phone broke down while on a trip abroad and it took me about 6h of actively trying to activate it with valid cpr and passport with chip. Scan goes fine and then app crashes every now and then it would allow me to take the photos and a bunch of times crashed there. Going past that point the app is good. On top of that CS was absolutely useless and unhelpful. 2 stars because once you have it the app works well.
