DaBus2 app takes the guesswork out of catching the bus on the island of Oahu. It uses the arrival information, courtesy of the Oahu Transit Services (OTS) to provide the best estimated time on when the next bus will arrive. This app also tracks the current location of the bus so you know exactly where it is located on the map. It is the app to download when you are in Hawaii.

Ratings and reviews

This App is helpful but there is room for improvements. Frequently the bus # scheduled to arrive would completely disappear from the app, so it could be confusing not knowing if the bus was delayed or cancelled. Then I found out that they might arrive later even the arrival info disappeared from the app. Please improve this so the arrival information would not disappear from the app beforehand. Another improvement I would like to see is to allow the saved favorites to be edited.

Why change the way you clicked on the bus stop for the time choices? It was simple to click anywhere on the page when the whole page was filled with the same choice, top to bottom. My thumb could land anywhere on the page and get what I wanted. Done. Simple. The new way, need to go up to the top two choices only an hit one of them. No biggie, but it was simpler before. Simple is good. Just put your thumb anywhere on the page and press.. done. No need change the page layout.

Great app. Able to search bus stops by street names, stop numbers or gps. I especially love that bookmarked stops can now be named. When I used this app a year ago, all my bookmarks were just stop numbers. This naming feature makes it so much more easier to keep track of my regular stops. As for the time estimate, it's pretty spot on. I've learned to be at the stop 5 min before estimated time just in case. Traffic can be unpredictable at times so a little leeway helps. Great app.
