Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking for the IELTS Academic and General Training tests, each built to the exam's own format: four Listening parts whose recordings play once in a Timed test, three Reading passages with 40 questions in an hour, two Writing tasks, and a three-part Speaking test you answer out loud. Work on True / False / Not Given and Yes / No / Not Given statements, Matching Headings, note, table and flow-chart completion, and map and diagram labelling.
STUDY OR TIMED
Each skill opens two ways. In Study you check each Listening and Reading answer as you go and read the key with its explanation; highlight sentences of a Reading passage, and open the Listening transcript after you check. A Timed test runs one section as on test day: Listening, Reading and Writing on the section clock with only a few pauses, each recording played once, and a band at the end.
Reading and Listening questions are grouped by how you answer them: Choose the answer, Match, Complete and Label. Pick one question type and drill it in Study. The Academic and General Training chips switch the Reading and Writing material to your version of the test.
WRITING AND SPEAKING
Write Task 1 (describe a visual in Academic, write a letter in General Training) and a Task 2 essay with a running word count, and compare your draft with a model answer. In Speaking the prompt appears on screen; for the Part 2 cue card you get a minute to prepare, then you record, play the take back and record again if you want.
FULL MOCK TESTS
Study a whole test at your own pace, or, with IELTS Premium, sit all four skills in one timed sitting of about 2 hours 45 minutes.
YOUR BAND REPORT
Listening and Reading bands come from your raw score out of 40. Writing and Speaking in a Timed test are marked by an AI model against the public band descriptors, and before your essay or recording goes to the AI model the app asks for your consent; without consent your answers are saved with no band. The report gives a band for each skill, an overall band when all four were sat in one sitting (the Premium full mock test), Writing feedback by criterion, what was heard in each Speaking answer, and the marked paper with explanations. These are practice estimates, not official IELTS results.
ASK TUTOR
Ask Tutor, part of IELTS Premium, is an AI tutor that knows the IELTS question types: ask for a hint instead of the answer, the difference between False and Not Given, phrases for a Writing task or ideas for a Speaking topic. Open it from Home, or from a question while you study. It asks for your consent before anything you type is sent to the AI model, and tutor questions are limited per day.
PROGRESS AND REMINDERS
Home shows your study streak, your latest band, your target band and the days left to your test date, with a short list of what to practise next. Analytics counts your Listening and Reading answers and accuracy by question type and week, and Timed sittings lists every marked sitting, newest first. Turn on reminders for a nudge after a day off, an evening streak alert and a countdown a week and a day before your test.
ACCOUNT AND IELTS PREMIUM
You sign in with e-mail or Google. Without a subscription every account gets a daily allowance of practice sittings, one skill per sitting. IELTS Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, that lifts the daily cap and adds the full mock test in one timed sitting and Ask Tutor. Your Google Play account is charged as soon as you confirm. Premium renews until you cancel it; manage or cancel it in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Restore purchases in Profile brings it back on a new phone. You can delete your account in Profile at any time.
