The TMUA splits into Paper 1, Applications of Mathematical Knowledge, and Paper 2, Mathematical Reasoning, and this app breaks each paper into its question families, drilled one question at a time with the worked reasoning after every answer. For Paper 2 that means the logic itself: counterexamples, necessary and sufficient conditions, converse and contrapositive, statements with "for all" and "there exists", true-statement combinations, deductions, chains of reasoning and the faulty line in a purported proof.
On test day each paper is 20 multiple-choice questions in 75 minutes, with no calculator, and a wrong answer loses nothing. The app follows the same rules: there is no calculator here, and the instructions and the results screen remind you that a guess always beats a blank.
The Practice tab:
- Question Bank: both papers side by side, with what you have practised on this phone, your accuracy, your open mistakes and your study streak.
- Paper 1 and Paper 2: the paper's question families as separate drills (numeric value, count / how many and inequality / range on Paper 1; eight reasoning families on Paper 2), a mixed run of all of them, and drills by content code such as MM6 Differentiation or Arg2, the terms necessary and sufficient.
- Mistakes: each wrong answer kept with its worked reasoning, to try again as a self-check and mark done.
Inside a question you have a count-up timer you can hide or pause, Mark for review, the list of questions in the set, Check, then See why for the reasoning (with Another way when a second route exists), and Report if something looks wrong. The questions are written by Prepclass for both papers.
Premium also switches on Ask Tutor, an AI tutor you open from Home or from a question: before you check, ask for a hint without the answer, what the question is testing or the first step; after, ask why your choice was wrong, why the key is right, the reasoning step by step, or a similar question to try. The first time, it asks for your consent; only after you agree does it send your message and the question to the AI model.
Analytics splits All, Paper 1 and Paper 2 into questions practised, accuracy, mistakes to review, study streak, weekly activity and accuracy by family and by content code. There is deliberately no predicted mark: the real result comes from two whole papers marked together, so the app shows where to spend your time instead. Practice history lists every set you have run on this phone, and Home keeps Today's plan, your streak and the test window you picked.
With notifications on, reminders arrive one week and one day before your chosen test window, after a day, two days or a week without practice, and at 8 pm when your streak is at risk.
Your account and Premium. Your account can use Google or an e-mail address. Every account gets a daily allowance of practice questions on both papers, with the worked reasoning included. Premium lifts that daily cap and switches on Ask Tutor. It is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, charged to your Google Play account once you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically until you cancel it. Manage or cancel it in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Bought Premium on another device? Tap Restore Purchases on the Premium screen or in Profile; deleting your account is a Profile option as well.
