Canary is home security made simple. The Canary app works with our security devices to connect your home to your phone, allowing you to view and protect those that matter most.

Monitor your home: Watch live or recorded HD videos day or night. Access Canary’s timeline for a living history of your home. Save and bookmark your favorite clips.

Intelligent notifications: When Canary identifies something out of the ordinary, you’ll get a notification with recorded HD video of the event, as well as the option to watch live.

Automatic arming: Canary changes modes when you come and go. No complicated keypads or codes to remember.

It used to be a good app. Now, even on a paid subscription, I need to close two or three pop-up ads every time I open the app before I can do anything with it, like changing the mode for example. Update: Promotions keep popping up when I open the app. This is not OK for a security system app. I may need to open it in an emergency. I can't waste time declining the newest offer. Update: I pay almost $500 a year for my premum subscription. Ads keep showing up when I open the app. Please fix.

This was a great app with solid hardware when it was first sold through Verizon stores. Progressively it gets worse & worse. Dropped from a 4 star product to another 1 star piece of garbage. Really stupid move, Canary. Why would anyone pay more for a subscription when the app fails so frequently & now that you've made your cash, there are no improvements & rare bug fixes. Thanks for destroying something that used to work just fine. 😕

It's a couple of years after my original review. now they've added a time restriction to how long you can view your cameras before an ad pops up and blocks your view. after spending $300 to buy their cameras I can only view them for 30 seconds at a time. go with Nest or wyze. don't waste your time or money on this. even the competitor brands give you full live access for free.
