HOW TO PLAY SPADES AUCTION?
The aim is to estimate, before play starts, how many tricks can be taken and to take at least that many. The trump is chosen by the auction winner (shown in the lower left corner), and the committed number of tricks must be taken. The other players must take at least 1 trick to avoid going bust.

After the deal, each player in turn declares how many tricks they can take. The minimum bid is 4 in the single game and 7 in the cooperative game.

The first player leads a card, which cannot be a trump. The others must follow suit. If there is no card of that suit, a trump is played; if there is no trump either, any card can be played, but it is a trash card and cannot take the trick.

The trick is taken by the highest trump, or by the highest card of the suit led if no trump was played, and that player leads next. A trick cannot be led with a trump until a trump has been played, unless the leading player has nothing but trumps.

SCORING
• The auction winner is given 15 points for each committed trick and 10 for each extra trick. For example, if 7 tricks were committed and 9 were taken, the calculation is (7x15)+(2x10), a total of 125 points.
• If the auction winner takes fewer tricks than committed, a negative score of 10 times the committed number is written. For example, if 6 were committed and 5 were taken, a penalty of (-6x10) -60 points is written.
• The other players are given 10 points for each trick taken. For example, 3 tricks earn 3x10, that is 30 points. However, if no tricks are taken at all, a penalty of -50 points is written.

In the cooperative game, the auction is won by the side of partners sitting across from each other with the higher bid. The partner's cards are laid face up, and both hands are played by the auction winner.

After the specified number of hands has been played, the game is won by the player with the highest score.

This game is complete nonsense—there’s literally no point to it. If someone gives a small number, you’re forced to give a bigger one—like what kind of rule is that? And then it just bans you for no reason, without even letting you finish the game. Seriously, if you don’t know how to make a proper game, why even bother creating one?
