after finishing the demo I purchased the pc version on steam. still a great game and fun play like a newer version of Life Force in the arcade. What bugs me is once you select a weapon, device, or special, that's it, you're stuck with it on the options for that device type. after playing 10 missions, selected 5 secondary weapons but then a better new one is available, you cannot select it for that tank and you're stuck with 3-4 inneffective weapons, forcing you to rebuild a new tank.

Cool game, kinda. This is basic bullet hell, but the enemies push past your vehicle a lot more than any other bullet hell I've played. This exacerbates the biggest issue with this design. You can't change the direction of shots. In some instances, the enemies do not coniue off screen or return to the shootable area. This leaves the player having to ram the ship into those enemies to be able to inflict damage. Wild choice, not fun.

Gideon Shirky
An absolute gem! I'm usually pretty picky with games but this is one I stumbled upon and have been playing constantly for the last week. I wish there was a codex, as there are lots of many varied enemies and it can be frustrating trying to figure them all out, but other than that gameplay is very fun, graphics and style are beautiful, and overall Hexage hit a homerun with this one.
