In general this app is great and I use it all the time. But what struck me today is that my phone reported that this app used an abnormal amount of battery power and advised to close it. It drained more than 2% of my battery while I used it in the past 12 hours for about 15 minutes max.
Having ads in the app is one thing, but this is just a bad user experience . On top of that, the newest update asks for some pretty dubious permissions. Why does a public transportation app need access to my local storage, Bluetooth or personalized information? Quick answer: it doesn't, and 9292 is trying to sell the data.
Lifesaver for all transport planning in the Netherlands. Accurate to the minute usually with real time updates. Marginally better than Google maps even. Has very accurate cost estimations too. This allows one to plan the most cost effective routes. One can also exclude a certain mode of transport in the options - this is great for OV chip card users as one can exclude modes that are more expensive ie trains that need 20 euro credit for travel. The time of departure and time of arrival is a wonderful option. The accuracy of the time of arrival is unbelievable. Great for airport and train travels. Overall, the best public transport app I have used in all my travels in Europe. Keep it up. And.... Please share your work to other countries. It would like improve traffic streams in all busy cities around the world.
My phone (Samsung Galaxy S8, Android 7.0) shows that this app is draining my battery. Please fix this. The rest of the app works great!
A very useful app which lets you plan public transport throughout the Netherlands. However, I only found this app because someone told me about it. I couldn't find it in a search because of the short 9292 name: you need to add a longer title. The app could be improved if I could plan a journey from a map, rather than having to remember and type in the name of a particular bus stop.
Real time public transportation travel planning based on your location in Amsterdam. Note that the first offered options might represent a bus/metro/tram passage that you just missed, however is reasonable for the app to show them in case you get lucky and still manage to catch it.
In this version of the app, the following changes are made:
- Bug fixes feedback option for stop accessibility Friesland
- Gear Watch bug fixes (Gear Watch app available from 1 March). Bluetooth
permission required to use the 9292 Gear Watch app.
