I was quite happy to use this app and to have electronic m-tickets. I normally book several days in advance as the tickets are cheaper. But then my mobile broke and now I cannot access my pre- booked tickets anymore (with a new mobile, but same account!). They are there but cannot be activated, so are useless. I spent hours with help desk but they are not helping me. They don't understand the problem, they keep saying I should reinstall the app. It is awful that I cannot have my tickets anymore (6 days!), having paid for them in advance. I shall not use this app anymore. Beware, it can happen to anybody.
Hard to use I mostly use 'Live train times' and it cannot remember locations. OnResume it cannot be even reselected, I have to restart the app. Disappointing for such a big company. EDIT: New version is much better, so rating has been updated.
Impossible to log in I can't long in even if I can using the desktop version using those details. The customer service so far unhelpful telling me only that I need to use my password. I already know that. Good I still have 3 days to sort this out. It must be stressful if you want to use the tickets on the day.
Really poor usability. Throws a dialogue every time I press the back button to confirm! Also no way to create an account, how am I supposed to do that? It's so poor I can't even buy a ticket when I click on Tickets!
Big fan Just started using m-tickets and I'm a big fan so far. No problems at all buying or using them. Navigating the menus is a bit clunky though - back button going back to the start is annoying.
Awful app The idea is fine - tickets on your mobile - very convenient. However it just doesnt work well - not intuitive and cumbersome screens. Also doesnt show the correct ticket price. I have just purchased a return ticket from home to york on a NORTHERN rail train and tickets are cheaper on National Rail enquiry site! Northern Rail are cheating customers as if I had not been aware I would easily have been overcharged without my knowledge! Bad :(
