Chrono is the official public transit app for the Greater Montréal area. Get the most comprehensive information on the entire metro, REM, train, and bus network. Travel with exo, the REM, the RTL, the STL, or the STM with ease using Chrono, which lets you plan and manage your trip, and purchase transit passes.

With Chrono, you can also get information on biking, BIXI, Communauto, or river shuttles (in season).

• View the balance on your transit cards and reload your OPUS card with transit passes.
• Purchase virtual tickets and validate them with your Android mobile device before boarding.
• Purchase a virtual ticket for bus line 747.
• Find an available BIXI bike or docking station nearby.

Ratings and reviews

Just as other reviews have stated, the app reads the cards, allows you to purchase a fare, but then can't find the same card to load the fare. Tried this with three different cards, two different phones, and finally one loaded after taking off the phone case and about 10 minutes of moving the card around. I'll note that taking off the phone case is not required to read the cards. I have used the Opus En Ligne reader for years and it works great. I just used it to load all three cards in minutes.

The app works, however concerning the language issue: the developer says it shows in the language of the phone. This is blatantly wrong. Also super lazy design to not allow manual changes. The main issue all people have is that the app DEFAULTS to French instead of English. I cannot emphasize enough how bad this design decision is for an app you want tourists to use. For me the app is shown in English once I set my phone to English instead of German (Android). Otherwise it was just French.

Trash. Can't buy tickets online anymore.... update may 6 22, takes days and I mean DAYS for the schedule to download! Useless at this point. And the options they offer is horrible... EDITED the time schedule IS WRONG. says 9h47 get there at 9h30 and it's now at 10h12... this happened to me over 7 times now. problem is, there is no paper schedule so I have to rely on these false schedules on this app.
