Permission details:
1. Internet permission: Only used to get web suggestions

2. Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): Only used to search through contacts (Completely optional)

3. Phone (CALL_PHONE): Only used for phone call as per users request (Completely optional).

4. Files (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): To search through device files (On Device). App’s core purpose is to search through files and folders across the device’s external storage.

5. QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: To get list of installed apps and shortcuts

All permissions are used only for searching purposes. No data is shared, everything is stored on device and is completely deleted when app is uninstalled.

Ratings and reviews

Love that I can finally search for my apps and the web at the same time with the keyboard pulling up automatically. I don't understand how One UI doesn't have a default auto search when using the app drawer. One minor thing I'd like to point out though is that the keyboard loads faster when you set the search to show up at the bottom. Hopefully they'll change it soon so that it loads equally fast on both scenarios.

Love the app! I really like that there's the ability to change the browser the search bar opens. I would love to see the ability to change the search engine, too, or use the default search engine that the chosen browser is defaulted to. Also, I would like to see the search not just start with the first letters but instead searches anywhere in the title of the apps. Otherwise, it's a great app!

It's a good widget. Beats the regular "non-pixel-google-search". One thing though. And now I've had it. It's going. It's not worth it for me since it's really the biggest eye poke around with its, non changable - mind you, BROWN and YELLOW (Gold-ish gradient) theme. Disaster. My UI is never a warm color and if it were it would not strafe many inches from deep violet. So It's simply a matter of prioritizing what's important for you. Aesthetics... at all? Or some extra functionality.
