About this app

Ever wondered how fit you are (but didn't know who to ask)? This app can help.

This app provides both the original Luc Leger's protocol (1984) as well as the most popular "at-least-60-seconds" alternative.

All you need is
- a pair of running shoes
- a flat 20 meter running pitch
- a modicum of enthusiasm
- this app

Note: Just in case you are wondering, this is NOT a GPS-enabled app; rather, it's a timer app that let's you easily conduct the beep test.

Simple, non-intrusive and highly accurate. No ads, no tracking, no special permissions. It
- prompts you with beeps (or ringtones that you select)
- displays seconds to beep
- displays seconds to next level
- displays distance covered so far (incl. shuttles) and time elapsed
- allows for a 15m or 20m lap
- offers an autostop feature

When you are done, the app will estimate
- VO2_Max
- calorie consumption

... that will
- give you bragging rights (hopefully)
- allow you to compare your fitness to that of the general population
- allow you to chart your progress

Caution : Some side effects have been noticed
- Runner's high. You will find yourself smiling far too much
- Fitter. Regularly done, you will be able to 'run up those stairs'
- Leaner. Darn, gotta buy smaller jeans!

Want more? Want to express appreciation? Get the pro version, which offers:
- Sophisticated group and advanced individual testing options
- Graphical analyses
- Save, export results
- Level & Shuttle voice cues
- And more

Been using this app for years now and truly have found it to be the best for this test. The update that changed the look of the countdown to a moving circle instead of the before used countdown clock made Proctoring a little more challenging. Any change we can get the digital clock back please? Other than that, Love it!

You are the second person to ask for the digital version. Tell you what: I'll monitor likes on your review for the next few weeks; if there are a "substantial" number by 1st June, I will work on providing it as an option.

This is the best app, enjoy your fitness gains! I go for one extra beep progress and somewhere between 3 to 7 days recovery between tests. I have made huge gains using this test regularly over the last 6 years. It's the best vo2 max stimulus, the injury risk is very low to me because the warm up is built into the test because it starts very slow and then slow boils to your max.

If there's anyone out there using this app to train for military or police selection (I used it for AOSB) then this app is brilliant. It's accurate and handy. However if you're attending AOSB don't stop at 10.2, go to 12. At AOSB they make you wear a boiler suit for all physical activities which makes the bleep test a lot harder. Not only that but you have the timed obstacle course after you reach 10.2 so it's handy to to still have air in your lungs afterwards. If you're still reading this I assume you're attending AOSB soon, therefore, I wish you the best of luck.

Great idea. In a bit. Update: Added "vibrate option" (Settings) in the latest version (2.70). Happy running.
