About this app

paceUP! gamifies all your training to make it fun!

Track your training with GPS through your smartphone or with a Garmin device, collect paceUP! points, and see how your training compares with your friends.

Gamify your training
Your training, either logged through your GPS device or manually, will award you paceUP! points. You will get base points for every session to promote frequent training and you will get effort points for every second of effort you put in. Competing in a recreational race will earn you twice the amount of points of an equivalent training session.

Base points
You will be awarded 100 base points for every training session exceeding 30 minutes to promote frequent training. At least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity is associated with a number of health benefits and is recommended by the American Heart Association.

Effort points
The effort points are calculated based on energy consumption using MET tables (Metabolic Equivalent of Tasks) for the activity performed. The tables take in to account all time and intensity measures recorded during your training session to award you a fair number of paceUP! points, regardless of activity.

Collecting points
Collecting paceUP! points makes it possible to compare your training in a fair and fun way with your friends and other members of the paceUP! community, regardless of the activity or activities you prefer. You will be promoted to new levels and you will be presented with new challenges as your points accumulate.

The points you collect determine your place in the paceUP! Leaderboard. You can choose to view your position compared to all paceUP! users, view in friends' mode to see your position compared to your connected friends or your own created groups.

With groups, you can easily create your own unique league and invite a sub-set of friends. Your group of training buddies can then follow each other's activities, compete for positions in your own leaderboard, and comment and like activities.

You can view all recently logged activities in the 'Feed' view, or you can choose to view in friends' mode to see your friends' recently logged activities.

Race calendar
Find your favorite recreational race in the race calendar. You can add the events to your calendar directly through the app and also book your place through a link to the race organizers home page.

Training Diary
All your training sessions with the points awarded are saved under 'My Profile'. You can view the details of your session by pressing it. A map, date & time, duration, distance, pace and activity type are displayed in 'Activity Details'.

not sure what it adds… the league is interesting, but I have a hard time taking it serious. I don't see how a walk compares to a run. I cannot respect people registering everything… and "competing" against them is just demotivating right now I'm experiencing a stubborn session expeired error that I cannot be rid of

i have now used this for me "new" app two times after changing from funbeat. Result is it does not work for me. It is not able to track my exercise and the result is tre points on the map and a distance og 200 meters instead of 7 km. So i will find another tool. Mobile : google pixel 2 with Android 10.
