The SOS Alarm 112 app provides safety and reassurance to everyone living in or visiting Sweden.
With the app, you get:
• Real-time information about incidents nearby: fires, traffic accidents, explosions, boat accidents, and people in distress in water.
• Important public announcements (VMA) and other crisis-related updates.
• Preventive knowledge about safety and security, such as CPR and essential phone numbers.
• Guidance to help you call the right phone number when you need help.
To fully use all the app’s features, you need to:
• Allow notifications.
• Allow location access and consent to the app collecting location data in the background, even when the app is closed or not in use, so it can provide relevant information about nearby incidents.

Latest update is really bad. It forces user to share location and info, and to bave location on at all time. Not just in the app. I do not want my location on, at all time. Also cannot use while battery optimisation is on. Before, this was not needed. Still no English option. Uninstalled

To receive information about events near you, the system needs your location. Therefore, precise location must always be allowed for the app to work optimally. It has always been required. We know users want an English version; we aim to offer it but must balance it with other priorities. If you have questions please contact the support in the app.

Do not have GPS location turned on at all times. I try to optimize the battery usage and use services like GPS and Bluetooth when needed. Otherwise they are turned off. App uninstalled.

Hej, Syftet med appen är att få information om händelser i sin närhet för att kunna undvika fara. För att kunna få information om händelser i sin närhet så behöver man tillåta positionering, annars vet inte appen vilken information du ska få. Very good idea, really badly made. Battery hog for no good reason (approximate location is available without using GPS). Constant notification that its using GPS that can't be turned off without blocking notifications from the app. "Needs" to use loud alarm in silent mode (no good information when or why). Will uninstall again. Maybe try a beta test before releasing something that will be uninstalled at once?
