About this app

The SOS Alarm 112 app provides safety and reassurance to everyone living in or visiting Sweden.

With the app, you get:

• Real-time information about incidents nearby: fires, traffic accidents, explosions, boat accidents, and people in distress in water.
• Important public announcements (VMA) and other crisis-related updates.
• Preventive knowledge about safety and security, such as CPR and essential phone numbers.
• Guidance to help you call the right phone number when you need help.

To fully use all the app’s features, you need to:

• Allow notifications.
• Allow location access and consent to the app collecting location data in the background, even when the app is closed or not in use, so it can provide relevant information about nearby incidents.
The official app for the Swedish emergency number 112.

In Swedish only. If there is an emergency, do yourself a favor and just die. It is more fair than attend enough SFI classes to understand the alerts.

Thank you for your feedback. The 112 app is currently only available in Swedish, but we plan to add English support in the future. The app is a complementary channel for important public safety information and does not replace official warning systems such as SE Alert, radio or TV. If you have questions, please contact the support via the app.

Very good idea, really badly made. Battery hog for no good reason (approximate location is available without using GPS). Constant notification that its using GPS that can't be turned off without blocking notifications from the app. "Needs" to use loud alarm in silent mode (no good information when or why). Will uninstall again. Maybe try a beta test before releasing something that will be uninstalled at once?

A good app... When it works, which it rarely does. Repeated notifications about events/information but as soon as I click the notification to open the app it shows "no new events" and when refreshing it directly displays the error message "no Internet connection". Having the app this unreliable, especially during a pandemic, is just a source of anxiety as opposed to a feeling of safety. It needs to be fixed. (running on Samsung galaxy S9, latest version android)
