BAD. The app is very bad in comparison to other services in Taiwan. There's an issue with international people making an account. The app won't accept Passport number or ARC card number. We can't download the ticket later because we don't have an account. I hope developer will look into this. Update: Still Not possible to download tickets. PATHETIC.

I wish I could give this app zero stars, it's garbage and reflects racist policy at the TRA. It forces foreigners to use passport numbers instead of valid ARC and APRC numbers, against government regulations. It also does not allow foreigners to create an account. This is disgusting and an embarrassment to Taiwan. It's also just a terrible app, very poorly designed. It's insanely difficult to transfer tickets between users. It should be rebuilt from scratch and the developer should be fired.

old app was way better, yet I'm forced to upgrade :(. update: This continues to be a terrible app. currently it doesnt even get the times the trains are leaving correct. Again it replaced a perfectly wonderful app. Discontinue this and bring it back.
