About this app

PensionProof helps UK workplace-pension savers compare the pension amounts shown on their payslips with the contribution records shown by their provider.

Import payslips and provider records, confirm the figures and dates, then run a private, rules-based reconciliation. PensionProof can account for common contribution methods, tax relief, payroll batching and normal posting delays without pretending that every pension record works the same way.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your ledger and imported attachments are encrypted on your device. Android backup and screenshots are disabled. PensionProof never asks for a pension-provider password and does not screen-scrape provider accounts.

Optional AI is just an extraction assistant. The app shows the complete bounded OCR text in an editable review and sends only the text visible when you confirm. The service returns candidate fields with source text and cannot calculate or change a result. You can use the manual workflow without AI.

CAREFUL, NEUTRAL RESULTS

PensionProof is designed to show uncertainty instead of guessing. A provider display date is not silently treated as a payment-received date. Unknown scheme timing, first contributions, refunds, corrections and ambiguous batches are marked for review.

The beta focuses on UK private-sector defined-contribution workplace pensions, with guided support for NEST and The People’s Pension. Defined-benefit, public-service, overseas and investment-advice cases are outside the beta scope.

PensionProof provides a user-prepared evidence and reconciliation estimate. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax or regulatory advice and does not determine whether anyone has broken a rule. It never contacts an employer, provider or regulator automatically.

PUBLIC BETA

PensionProof is an early release. Document formats, accessibility and careful matching rules will continue to improve. Results may be incomplete or wrong, so always check the original records and current official guidance.

Found a bug, a confusing result or an improvement we should make? Open Settings and choose "Report a bug or suggest an improvement". PensionProof opens a pre-addressed email with a blank report template and the public app version only. It never adds your ledger, documents, contribution figures or reconciliation results. Do not attach pension documents or include names, National Insurance numbers, member or policy IDs, employer/payroll identifiers, addresses, bank details or document text; use made-up examples when needed.
