I tried to cancel a deposit, but kept getting an error saying it must be done in the app, which then showed the same error. Customer service said cancellations aren’t allowed after 10 minutes, yet the option/ button to cancel the transaction still shows. The rep couldn’t explain why and was unhelpful. After I mentioned contacting my bank, her tone changed, and she got really unfriendly, saying I need to make sure the bank knows I approved the transaction, or this will become a big problem.

Thanks for letting us know about your transfer issue, Silke. We will share this with the Digital Products team as Feedback. Please allow up to 3 business days for an Inbound External Transfer to be processed. Also, we cannot guarantee the timely delivery of funds as a result of the failure of another financial institution to act in a timely manner.

App is garbage. I cannot connect any of my accounts to you (four different banks). They don't you work with Plaid. They don't have email or chat function. I will be undownloading. Some reddit users say it's hard to get money out of the account once it's in there too. But I didn't get that far. Also I tried to leave feedback on the feedback section of the app and it just keeps giving error messages. I won't be calling in to get them to fix it.

Thanks for writing in Nadine, we appreciate the Feedback. Unfortunately, if you are unable to add an external account then you will need to link a different external account. You may also try signing into your other bank's online banking and link Openbank via routing and account number and "push" the funds to the Openbank account.

Chad Horn
Put in a transfer to our bank from openbank for money we needed by the end of the year. Two days later they cancelled the transfer, didn't notify us, and locked our account. After an hour on the phone they said it was because it was suspicious, sorry about that, but my account was locked and it would be a few days wait to unlock it and then I can try the transfer again and then it might take a week to transfer, maybe. They give a good rate because you can't have that money back.
