The NYC School Bus app, powered by Via, gives caregivers greater visibility into their student's daily school commute. Through real-time GPS tracking information, caregivers will have peace of mind knowing the location of their student’s school bus and receive notifications when their student safely boards or exits the bus.

The app is great when the bus drivers remember to turn on their side of it. It would be better if their end was made to automatically turn on when the bus starts it's route instead of the driver logging in. One of my kids bus drivers is an older gentleman and he hasn't had luck logging into the app which is not helpful to the parents at all. Some improvements are needed.

this app doesn't even let me sign in. constantly says "something went wrong". tried reinstalling and Still same problem. as soon as I try on an iPhone, it works perfectly well. Android mobile engineers need to do better !!

such a stupid app. you're telling me that the app has been available since 2024 and there are STILL these types of glitches with it? I can't log in for nothing and the school bus never came this morning to get my child. now when there are app issues like this who do I contact? because the app has a "support" section but if I can't log, it won't give me access to contact goddamn support. it's 2026. do better. everything is tEcHnOloGy Is bEtTer, but apparently they can't get this right. smh.
