The NYC School Bus app, powered by Via, gives caregivers greater visibility into their student's daily school commute. Through real-time GPS tracking information, caregivers will have peace of mind knowing the location of their student’s school bus and receive notifications when their student safely boards or exits the bus.

The app is great when the bus drivers remember to turn on their side of it. It would be better if their end was made to automatically turn on when the bus starts it's route instead of the driver logging in. One of my kids bus drivers is an older gentleman and he hasn't had luck logging into the app which is not helpful to the parents at all. Some improvements are needed.

Horrible! One day it works the next day it doesn't. The bus icon is huge for the size of the map. Edited: after the press release on 1/22/24 the look of the app hasn't changed. However I feel like it might be running a little more smoothly than before.

It's been working fine for a while now, only real issue is when the bus driver doesn't turn it on on their end which I know the app can't control. It's been a great help in keeping the early morning tantrums down since we can wait inside for the bus
