Business owner Tim Stone and podcast co-host Jaron Myers are the voices behind Things I Learned Last Night. Stone shared with us what a typical day looks like when he’s home in Kansas City, Missouri, with his wife Brianna and their two dogs.

The first thing I do when I wake up is open up Notion to see what I have on the docket. Notion has been my to-do list app for a while because it keeps things nice and organized with a great design. Then, I usually plan out my day in Google Calendar, making sure to block out time for each of the items on my to-do list.

After grabbing a cup of coffee, I like to sit in my front room with my dogs and curl up with a good virtual book on Libby. It’s an excellent, free book and audiobook platform that connects to your local library. It’s the best.

I’ll then throw on a podcast on Spotify while I get ready for the day. I recommend this hot new podcast, Things I Learned Last Night; I know one of the hosts, no big deal. I’m also checking Discord all day long to see what’s going on in all my channels.

Most of the time, I order something from DoorDash and watch Netflix over lunch. I love being able to throw my Pixel Buds Pro in and getting lost in a good show for 30 minutes or so.

After a long day, I like winding down on Instagram or playing my new favorite game, Project Makeover. Seriously, it’s way too much fun. Finally, I lay down and finish my day just like I started it: by double-checking Notion and moving any remaining tasks to tomorrow.

Then I play Game Dev Tycoon until I physically can’t keep my eyes open anymore. That’s what we in the industry call crunch.
