Since the detection of the first case of COVID-19, the virus has been wreaking havoc not only among the general public and health care workers but also among the think tanks. A lot of unknown facts about the disease make the situation even more complicated. Although a lot of literature regarding COVID-19 is available on the internet, most are vague and discrete.
In such a situation, A Handbook of Obstetrics and Gynaecology care during pandemic of a novel respiratory virus was written to provide all the current guidelines related to the disease in pregnancy, which will help minimise confusion related to patient care. Various sections starting from basic understanding to the key changes in management in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic have been addressed, according to the current evidence.
The author feels this book will fulfill the gap of knowledge about the practice of obstetrics and gynecology during the era of COVID-19 and will help practitioners avoid confusion related to patient care.

Acerca del autor

Dr. Soumya Ranjan Panda is a laparoscopic gynecologist and is currently working in the prestigious institute, AIIMS, Mangalagiri, as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. After completing his MS, he went on to work in various reputed institutes in India, like IMS, Banaras Hindu University and AIIMS, Jodhpur. He also has completed the postdoctoral fellowship in Endogynecology. He has presented his research in various international and national conferences and has also been awarded for that on several occasions. He is an honorary fellow of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons in India (AMASI). He has several research publications to his name in various indexed journals and believes teaching and research are two weapons for modern medicine.
