This is only the second book I have read in this series and even though I will be reading the series backwards, I stilled loved this book. I'm prof that this book really can be read as a standalone. Each book is about a different Lockhart brother and this is Justin's story. Elle Tyler has it all, fame beauty and a load of adoring fans, but one fateful night she is attacked by a deranged fan who leaves her bleeding on a bathroom floor. Justin Lockhart is the stranger who comes to her rescue and after getting her to the hospital he can't get her out of his mind. Justin preserves with the calls and visits to the hospital until he gets to see she is ok for himself but what he finds is a girl who has lost all her confidence and he needs to show her she is beautiful on the inside as well as the outside, dispite the scars left by her attacker...... This is a story about two strangers who become friends and then lovers, it's beautifully written and I was captivated from the first chapter. The Lockhart brothers are not only hot as hell they are loveable caring men and I will be reading the rest in this series. I loved reading this siblings story I hope the rest are as good as Hidden Depth. Great job Brenda Rothert

4.5 Stars! Elle seems to have the world in the palm of her hand. She is at the highest peak of her career until she is caught off guard and her world feels shattered in the matter of an instant. Darkness and depression are slowly seeping in. Then along comes a savior and unexpected friendship that manages to bring brightness to the long and dreary days spent in recovery. Justin’s schooling to become an attorney is complete and his temporary research job is coming to an end. His plans to move back to the small town of Lovely are moving forward and he will soon join the family practice. Then a sudden horrific discovery and the recovery of a stranger consume his thoughts. His plans to return to Lovely haven’t changed, but now he has no intention of returning home alone. As always, this author delivers great writing, a unique storyline, well written characters, and perfect pacing. The relationship between Elle and Justin is a somewhat slow build. What begins as a cautious friendship develops into a swoon worthy romance. As with all the Lockhart brothers, Justin will steal your heart! Hidden Depth is the fourth installment in the Lockhart Brothers series. All books in this series can be read as a standalone, but I strongly recommend starting at the beginning with book one, Deep Down, in order to get the full effect of the family dynamic and history of all characters.

Brenda Rothert’s HIDDEN DEPTH is a heartwarming and moving read. This is the story of the youngest Lockhart brother, Justin, and model, singer and actress, Elle Tyler. This contemporary romance takes place in St. Louis, Missouri and Lovely, Missouri. First, my son’s name is Justin. So, I automatically like Justin Lockhart because of his name. That being said, I do like his character. He is protective and kind. He has good values. Elle is a sweet character. I love how she interacts with her fans. She is a good person, that has had some bad things happen to her. I appreciate that Justin and Elle like each other for the people they are and not who they are. Chloe Michaels is an awesome assistant and friend to Elle. I love how she looks out for her. Andre is a faithful bodyguard. I appreciate that the two truly care about Elle and are more than employees. They felt horrible and responsible about what happened even though it was not their fault. I love that Miss Dee Dee once again makes an appearance in this series. She is the perfect person for Elle to befriend. From a story perspective, I like how Justin and Elle meet. What happens is horrible but it makes a fantastic plot. Her situation with Gary Beasley was traumatic and chilling. Justin faces some interesting situations in the story. I like how he handles them. I adore how the story ended. It fell welt concluded. Once again, Brenda Rothert did an amazing job with this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
