Ratings and reviews

When Fi3 came around with the subscription model it was supposed to include hardware upgrades. They had raised the price, where the earlier models you bought the device and paid for the service, for a time, a reduced rate. So they have an actual upgrade which they claim faster seek times, a serious need, they have pulled the free hardware upgrades, right after my subscription reupped. And battery life went from months to maybe 2 weeks. The Apple move. Planned obsolescence. Screw us.

App is terrible now. You can only open the app while connected to the Internet. Bluetooth functionality is dead. Collars no longer connect to phone via Bluetooth. No way to see even collar battery status without Internet, even if you're on the same wifi network as the base. So if you lose Internet, you lose everything. We will likely not continue service because of these issues.

Worked very well when first purchased 7 months ago. Over that short time, the app has become progressively slower in tracking. Takes almost 2 minutes to Track Lost Dog, that's unacceptable. Also, while walking, the yellow location tracking line in the app can make exaggerated movements seemingly at random, making it unreliable at times to truly know your dog's location.
