The SumUp app is the perfect match for your card reader or Point of Sale Lite. Pair your free app with your mobile card reader to take card, chip & PIN, contactless and mobile payments. You can then use your app to track the sales you take with your devices, add tipping options, issue refunds and set sales tax rates.

Invoices
You can activate and issue professional, legally-complaint, on-brand invoices from your app in minutes. You can also track the status of any invoices you’ve issued so you’ll always stay on track with pending payments. Our invoicing app feature is very simple, when your customer receives an invoice, they’ll have the option to pay securely online.

Payment Links
Through the free SumUp app, you can easily get paid remotely with Payment Links. All you have to do is select ‘Payment Links’ from the app home screen, enter the amount you want to charge, create your link, and share it with your customers via social media, SMS or email. The link will take the customer to a secure website where they can complete the transaction. It’s a great way to take cashless payments from afar or without a device.

With QR codes, you can offer your customers another alternative when it comes to payments. With a free SumUp Business Account, you can stay on top of your finances in one secure, easy-to-manage space. Sign-up is simple and involves no paperwork and you won’t be charged any monthly fees or hidden costs. You’ll also receive a free contactless Mastercard for your business expenses and track your spending in the app. You can pay with your card anywhere that takes Mastercard, or use it to withdraw cash from an ATM.

Ratings and reviews

The app itself as well as the card reader, in my experience, works seamlessly. I do wish there were settings to set the VAT rate automatically, rather than changing it for each individual charge. However, the verification has been a nightmare. I sent several emails of evidence of my business, just for an artist alley table at a comic con. All I have received are auto generated emails asking for more info. I have a sizeable sum in limbo which I am still fighting for.

This app is so easy to use. I have the device but can take payment with my mobile, which is so convenient. I carry a power bank so I can trade all day if I want. Easy storage of products. Selection gallery and pricing. Ability to offer discounts and promotions. Quick and effective system with fast drawdown of funds as required via bank transfer. You can pay for the next level, but there really is no need. Highly recommended.

Keep having problems. When it works it's great but I have had quite a few incidents where I'm trying to input a sale so I can take a card payment and it says I have no items. It's frustrating when there are customers waiting. I have to log out and back in, which all takes time. Not great. Update after Sumup reply. I did try that already but the bot was no help and it kept saying I needed to log in to continue with the help chat...I was already logged in. I tried to call but it was out of hours.
