Ratings and reviews

The UI is difficult to navigate sometimes. Unintuitive and placing similar things in different places. Between the app and the devices, it's sometimes trial and error to get what you want. Update: it's getting much worse. Disabling a skill leaves you on the skill screen with no way to exit unless you exit the app. Additionally, the new brief mode sound is terrible and you can't change it.

after a few years suddenly my routines for my Smart switch stopped working. found it lost it's wifi connection. so I set-up again and took several attempts to find router. then routine still didn't work to turn light on and off. so tried deleting and setting up new. now I see I have 3 trying to turn off @ sunrise. BTW, my Alexa app doesn't have the MORE button your supposed to use to find them delete routine. But I somehow found a way around it, then I could finally find the 3 dots @ top right.

I have been working on my residence & smart devices for a number of years using several companies, which included Google, Samsung, Aeotec, Philips Hues, Philips WIZ, & a couple of others. Getting them to work together was an issue. With this in mind (& my wife losing patience), I went to Amazon products for simplicity & they have worked great. It is not perfect, but research & tutorials assisted me in what was originally a bunch of devices that were basically useless, but now work in unison.

What's new

Our new design has made it easier to access your favorite features and devices. The Home page offers quick access to smart home controls, Echo management, and numerous Alexa features. The Devices page offers customizable views to manage your devices.
