Think of the user, not what new feature you're trying to show off. 1: why is text entry the default instead of voice? And there's no setting to change this. Idiots! Now, when I'm driving, I have to find and click that small microphone button, taking my eyes off the road. 2: So many times I use a frequent voice command and it tries to do something different. Implement a user specific frequent command list. Compare the new voice command to frequent list before doing something new.

Battery still drains at a high rate. UX is not "improved". Your skills are buried. Once there, list often does not load unless you change the sort order. When adjusting setting of a skill, you lose the ability to go back to the list. So, you have to click through again. I swear, no one works on the Alexa team. If they do then they have literally never used the app outside the lab.

Pro: the display is good. Interfaces well with home devices and, once you learn ways to do them, the routines are helpful. Cons: VOLUME CONTROL. Can't set by voice at a percentage only through app. If I say to set at 23%, it sets it at volume 2 (20%) or say 26%, sets to 3 (30%). Even setting manually is painful and the slider is horribly sensitive. Would be great to be able to set separate volumes like for media like Spotify or live radio at a volume and Alexa voice at another volume.
