Despite truly excellent sound quality, it has utterly horrific playback lag. At times, song selection will play immediately, but way too often, it will lag. I've seen it take anywhere from 5-7 *minutes* to play. Yes, even with a rock-solid, extremely fast connection. It is mind-blowing this multi-billion $ corporation cannot get their music app right. Every time it updates I hope that the problem I've described is corrected - but no. Other issues: Lyrics readback sucks. Album art is too small.

At first when I had this app it worked great. You could flip from online to offline and everything worked. Now even with downloaded songs if I have no signal it takes forever to load screens and menus, and even skip. They've also taken away the ease of adding songs to playlist. You used to be able to go down a list from your library and just click a plus sign, now it's a pain. Play next on a song never works anymore. Sorting by most recent flat out leaves songs out that I've added. It sucks now.

I can't search within my playlists to find an individual song or artist, which seems like something we should be able to do. The "play next" and "add to queue" options aren't actually functional, you'll have to manually press play on what you want to hear next, forget about setting up multiple songs to play in a row. When the app connects to my cars BT, each song starts 4 seconds into the song, cutting off the beginning of every single song. Amazon music is straight trash.
