About this app

The BMW Driver's Guide provides important, model-specific vehicle information on selected BMW, BMW i and BMW M models*.

With just one click, you get the knowledge of how to operate the vehicle and its equipment. Explanatory animations, image searches, answers to frequently asked questions and much more complete the app.

By entering the vehicle identification number (VIN), the appropriate model-specific vehicle information is downloaded and is also available offline. You can manage multiple vehicles within the BMW Driver’s Guide.
If you don’t have a vehicle identification number (VIN) then simply explore the BMW demo vehicle.

Whooppee it works again. So important when manuals for navigation and media are no longer supplied with the vehicle. Trying to read the manual and configure the vehicle all on one 10 inch screen is not at all good. Please try not to let this happen again. My new vehicle arrives on Monday and the thought of sitting in the car for hours was not something I was looking forward to. If I'm in my car I want to drive it.

Another update (April 30) which now seems to have partially addressed the login issues. Required to re-register as it will not recognize the login details even though they are correct and allow access to the other BMW connected sites. Who decided you need an account to view what's no more than an owners manual? Totally lost faith on BMW's ability to provide what it promises as far as software is concerned. If the car was this bad it would have been returned to the dealer, not fit for purpose!

Although the VIN number is required for activation, the information and descriptions are not tailored to my specific car but are very general and include optional features not found on my car. It does at least contain details of the media/navigation system that the printed handbook does not, although the query I originally installed it for was not answered. Not much better than the printed handbook but at least I carry it with me at all times.
