About this app
With Call a Bike, you are spontaneously and flexibly mobile around the clock. Whether you're on your way to work, after work or on a city trip, with Call a Bike you can rent a bike at any time and anywhere in Germany.
A total of 13,000 bikes are available in over 80 cities. You can also use the app to hire a bike from StadtRAD Hamburg and Lüneburg as well as RegioRadStuttgart.
All bikes are displayed on an interactive map in the app. You can rent them using the QR code or by entering the bike number.
You can pause your journey: simply activate it in the app and close the bike lock.
To return the bike, take it to one of the Call a Bike stations that you can find on the interactive map in the app.
You can view the details and costs of your journeys in your bookings at any time. You can also redeem voucher codes, report damage and manage your customer account here.

The bikes are great, but customer service is absolutely terrible. The app failed to charge me appropriately and I received no notifications in English despite having English as my preferred language on my account. In addition, they provide no way to actually pay the outstanding invoice. It's good to see at least one service in Germany bucks the stereotype of efficiency.

DON'T EVEN TRY. We spent an hour, 5 times trying, to register on the app to get a bike, to no avail. Never got the text or email with confirmation code. Even sent an email to customer service and never got a reply. TERRIBLE BUSINESS, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. Ruined our planned day of biking around Munich.

The most dumb thing is to not be able to change subscription within the app, but sending email is required. It feels like: here is my money, no send us email instead. No, thank you.
