Long term account holder...pay bills on time. Due to fraud had a new number given to me. I missed automatic payment because it was never alerted with new number and Discover didn't send me any automatic reminders either. I didn't realize payment was never made until after deadline. Customer service wouldn't remove late charge or interest. Even with me immediately paying what was due. 30+ year card holder! Checking into moving.

The only reason not to allow customers to set up auto pay until we receive our first statement is in hopes that we forget and end up owing a late fee. Citi, Capital One, and Chase all allowed me to set up my payments immediately. I'm also realizing that Discover doesn't list due dates or statement dates anywhere that's accessible on a new account. I'm sure they make a lot of money in late fees this way. Predatory.

I loved using this app to check balances and make payments. Now it won't let me update the app saying my device isn't compatible. Sadly, not everyone can afford a new phone. That is why I have a credit card.. I can't always afford things and have to charge it. The developers should be mindful of those that used it and made payments. I will close this credit card due to this issue. Way to go developers!!! You just cost Discover a customer! I will close this card over this soon!
