The First Bus App is the best way to get live bus times and route information. You can save your favourite stops, routes and locations and revisit recently searched journeys. The map shows the bus stops nearby where you can see live updates to check where and when your bus is coming letting you head to your bus stop just before your bus is due.

Ratings and reviews

good when it works but very unreliable, sometimes the bus stops just don't show the map and the search feature comes up with no results making the app useless. I like being able to see where the bus is on the map because that's more accurate than the time tables. We get a lot of replacement buses in the area and some of them are not tracked, but the counter still goes for them.

the app is slow. doesnt work half the time. whenever I uninstall it, reinstall it, and try to sign in, my account password is apparently not my password. it needs to be updated immediately and sorted. whenever I try to look at when the bus is arriving. it doesnt load. same as the location part. it refuses to load. I've had problems with this since I installed it.

Really helpful, when it works. I rarely have problems with using my digital ticket, but I rely on the live bus map and it doesn't always work: some routes are tracked more reliably than others, and lately I can't track the bus at all - it says “technical issues, check back later.” Not the first time it's done this, but lately it's been consistent.
