Journey Planning

Planning your journey around Edinburgh has never been easier. You can view your location on the interactive map and plan a route to your desired location. You can tailor the results to your travel preferences and we'll show you the most practical routes to get you where you need to be.


Real-time Information

Stay up to date with all the latest information regarding bus and tram arrival and departure times. The interactive map shows every bus and tram stop around you with subsequent real-time information about services at the selected location.

Mobile Ticketing

Passengers can now purchase a number of ticket types all on the one app. The app will learn ticket purchase behaviour and can present suggestions for frequently purchased tickets. Make use of our handy filters and find the tickets you need whether you're travelling across the region, in the city or to the Airport.

Travel and Service Information

The new and updated app can give you live updates about travel and service information, such as delays and diversions. If a stop is selected on the app, passengers will get the most up to date service information regarding the routes that serve the selected stop. Passengers have the opportunity to turn on notifications to get the latest service information straight to their smartphone.

Ratings and reviews

App relatively ok until recently the location services on the map stopped working, even with location permissions enabled. Journey plan functionality often doesn't provide options that exist or can't find a location or postcode when typed into the search bar that the previous app found no bother. The ability to check the location of specific buses is great if it worked which it often doesn't. If this app is the new all ringing and dancing option it really needs some improvement.

Please fix this app! Why doesn't it show diversions and changes? North Bridge has been closed for a month, yet the app still tells me to get buses from stops nearby that aren't in use. Surely the whole point of the app is to have something that can be updated? Right now, the bus stops are more informative than the app, which is a glorified offline schedule. Secondly, when searching, why does it first show results from places all over the world? I am not aiming to get a Lothian bus to Canada.

The old app was a lot easier to use. This interface is not that great to use. To cap it all its giving out false information of bus arrival times. It also lags in update. Next to useless. The old app was more accurate. ...and just found out you cannot really effectively plan a trip with it. It only allows a From and To destination. you cannot factor in additional stops. e.g. swanston to western general taking a 5 then changing to a 38 in Morningside could not be planned.
