Ratings and reviews

Downloaded the app because the instructions for the switch I bought (GS305E) required it. All instructions followed, checked and rechecked. IP address does not appear when logging into the app. The switch works, insofar as it is connected to the router, and two pcs are working through it. In the app, GS305E is not listed as a supported device. So far unable to go online to change password from "password".

Ignored all the many poor recent reviews of the app because life is how your find it. After using a GS503 for many years without issue decided to upgrade to the GS503E because, who doesn't get tempted by E for Enterprise. More features, more security, less hassle. Boy, was I wrong. It's taken the best part of a day to get the switch configured. But, and this is the funny thing the app is no longer connecting although I can now, at last, connect via the Web interface. No subscription for me.

To use the app, an account is required. I don't need an account for communication or tracing the list of products registered. There are plenty of options to notify me. Besides: I know what I bought, and paid big money for it too!! Why can't I skip account creation and signing in? Why didn't it say so on the app page? It seems like every single company wants my personal information, and netgear is just one of them.
