UPDATE: I was having severe connectivity issues, but it seems they've since been fixed, and my connectrion is very reliable now. I'm adding a star for that. I'm still hurting due to Proton's sudden decision to paywall the country selection option. It really sucks when you're counting on connecting from a country with laws that protect users from cookie and tracker abuse, and you realize you're not.

Removing features from the free version, such as manual server selection? Bad move. I used to be able to connect to the Japan server but no longer after the update. Time to uninstall. P.S. To the developer: Don't bother with your canned responses either. Other than reverting the unwanted changes of the free version, you won't change my mind.

Not perfect but well on its way to best-in-class. My only complaint is that I sometimes have to change servers to get internet working again. Proton continuously improves all their products and clearly listens to their customer base, so I've watched many other improvements and bug fixes happen and have full confidence their products will keep getting better. Works well on the 5 Android devices and 2 computers I've tried, one Windows and one Ubuntu.
